Before you know it, your sweet little angel will be starting his/her first day of Kindergarten. While we do not want our children to grow up too fast, it is never too early to help them prepare for the expectations of school. Kindergarten will provide a fun learning experience for your child. However, there are many important things he/she will need to know prior to starting school.
I have listed a few:
*letter recognition *shapes
*letter sounds *colors
*name writing *patterns
*rote counting *number recognition
*touch and count *book awareness
*self-help skills *basic technology
I understand that some children acquire information quicker from someone other than their parent/guardian. Many families have busy schedules that limit time to work on these skills. If you feel that your child would benefit from one on one assistance with these and other objectives, please feel free to contact me.
Rate: $30 per hour for one child
Siblings/Friend $10 discount (if tutored at the same time)
Ex. Each child $20 each if tutoring more than one at the same time.
Helping all children start school ready to learn is critical to their future success and to the well-being of society as a whole. Children who start school behind their peers are unlikely to catch up. Children who enter kindergarten with limited word reading skills are the most likely to develop later reading difficulties and require remedial education.”
